iBlink Radio available in App Store
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn – October 9, 2009 – Serotek Corporation, the leading provider of internet and digital information accessibility software and services, introduced a third-party iPhone application today specifically designed for those who are blind or have low vision. Now available in the App Store, the application is called iBlink Radio™ and is the first such application to be introduced in the world.
iBlink Radio allows people to listen to podcasts, radio stations and reading services produced by and for the blind community.
The reading service section of iBlink Radio provides audio versions of newspapers, magazines and periodicals for anyone unable to read the printed page, regardless of disability. Daily newspapers include USA Today, Wall Street Journal and the New York Times.
Listeners can also access all known radio stations owned and operated by the blind, and the podcast section offers topics ranging from technology to cooking.

The Federal Communications Commission has chosen Serotek Corporation’s accessible meeting platform
Serotek Corporation, the leading provider of internet and digital information accessibility software and services, announced today that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has purchased Accessible Event™ as its accessible meeting platform. Accessible Event makes meetings, webinars, lectures and other events accessible to the blind, deaf and deaf-blind members of the audience, staff and class room.
Much like a conference bridge, presenters set up an event and a meeting code is provided to invited participants. Attendees who prefer assistive technology simply visit the Accessible Event web site from the browser of any computer or portable device, enter the meeting code, and the meeting becomes instantly accessible. |

Freedom Scientific Announces FREE DAISY Book Reader
(St. Petersburg, Florida – August 10, 2009) – Freedom Scientific today announced that it is now providing FSReader, its popular DAISY book reader, free to users of its PAC Mate™ and PAC Mate Omni™ accessible Pocket PCs.
